You may remember not to long ago, i posted a gripe about the #2 train, titled Two-Pain. i was pissed about the every 30 minute service on the weekends. Remember that? Well on Monday the 16th, which is not the weekend, the wretched weekend service schedule continued...Did you get that, the weekend foolery carried over to Monday.
Check the full narrative. My other half and i was leaving a friend's house to catch the #2 and it wasn't even stopping at Eastern Parkway - straight skipping this stop. We walk down to Franklin, and the MTA attendant hands me a WEEKEND schedule for the #2. i say, "But Ms., it's Monday. Why is the train running every 30 minutes." She shrugged her shoulders...so did we. We walked home. Thanks for the exercise MTA. Now can i get a partial refund on my monthly pass?

i wanted to post this story earlier, then i got wind of the increase of fares all the way from $83 to $103 by May. Not to mention service cuts which include trimming down on MTA tellers who shrug their shoulders. i would miss those shoulder shrugs, especially people who are nervous about catching trains at night. As i'm writing this, i just got a little tidbit via twitter about Albany stepping in to avert the fare hike. Love those CNN tweets. We'll see what happens.
so when are we gonna make like the french and take to the streets? they're tryin to cut the nighttime b48 making inter brooklyn travel another step more ridiculous!!!! i mean viva la bicicleta! but damn man... or maybe this is just a step to undo some of guilianis fare busting technicalities maybe what they're really saying to us is: come on you docile law abiding nin cum poops jump the damn turnstyle!!!! ...or something....
are they cutting mta workers and adding cops? theres the million dollar question...
