Beautiful work, my friend. Truly. I love it. I am excited to see them enlarged and on a wall in a gallery.

Thank you for letting me be a subject in this project Kamau! I learned lots & gained some new insights & perspective about portrait & landscape photography. I'm excited to move this project forward; it's very inspiring.

This new stuff is your best work. IMO This needs to be a hardback photo book.

You are an absolutely incredible photographer. Just took time to look through your stuff and I'm stunned. I mean I know you're good, but you're really really good. I hope you will still remember me when you're wicked famous.

Blown away by the love, my friends. i really hoped to present work that you can enjoy and return to with some big ideas in it for discussion. After posting my work on this site for two years (Dec. 2008), i wanted to push myself past just sharing good pictures. Thanks for the love.

Hey, Tam, Monique, and Sophie!
My lady's bday twin.
One of my favorite artists in the world!
And the lady who introduced me to my first New York clients and Brooklyn.
Thank you - all three - for the feedback + support.

Well done, KW! You mentioned in the newsletter that the video represents the place you ended up, which is not where you intended. Can you describe what the video might look like if you had ended up where you thought you would?
Posted by: Aki | 01/03/2011 at 03:15 PM
Mr. Aki. Pleasure to build with you online as always as in person. i planned to make the video component directly complimentary to the photo book; same images presented in a different way. What i discovered as mentioned in my essay is the landscape quality of the models and how those landscapes while distinct, were not as distinct as more identifiable parts. The landscape textures were illustrated the common texture between the different women in the series than a difference so in the video they are presented as connected spaces that blend into one another and into the white background. You may notice that there is some direction in the video - east, north, then out. In closing, the images in the video are indirectly complimentary. There are a number (most) of images that are in the video that are not in the photo book. Aight?
ya bro,
