The weekend before last, I attended Williamsburg's Fashion Weekend. The show was quite raunchy and as a result many of the photos that I took will never see the light of day:(. There was one collection that I found adorable but I have no idea who the designer was (I'll update if I ever find out). Here's a photo from her/his collection, that I took and love:
Today I am noticing a pattern. I could just drop and take a nap at about any point of the day. This has been going on for the past month or so. My weeks have been fuller than usual and I've fiercely maintained. When I'm not at my 9-5, I am one of many verbs: planning, launching, executing, managing, interning, editing, designing, networking, publishing, assisting, writing, loving, observing, and of course blogging!
My dreams are still a bit fuzzy but they are no longer make believe. I drink coffee, eat good, sneak in yoga practices, and place one foot in front of the other because I know that I'm walking in the right direction. As I write this piece I feel alive yet happily tired. My quest to live a more creative life, the reason that I started The Creative Cookie, is all coming together in a colorful bustling reality. I'm not requesting your pity or special consideration--someone asked me "how I was?" today and because I'm easily inspired I decided to write this post.
I'm a featured artist for Boutique Flea's Autumn event, Falling for Boutique Flea! Come out to mix, mingle, and support me plus three other talented Brooklyn designers as we share our creations. I'll be there with Easily inspired, the Creative Cookie zine, and jewelry made from rescued textiles. This is my first time being presented as an "artist" so I'm biting my nails, super excited, and grateful for the opportunity!!
I hope to see you this Thursday; details are below:
